Each year, Ibis Charities Foundation recognizes a leader from among the various non-profit organizations in Palm Beach County that we support. This year, we are pleased to announce Karis Engle as our 2024 Woman of Accomplishment, who we recognized at our “Girls Night Out” event on February 20th. Karis is the President and CEO of The Glades Initiative, where she has been making an impact in the community for the past 16 years.
The Glades Initiative’s mission is to improve the coordination and effectiveness of the health and human service delivery system in the Glades area of Palm Beach County. The Glades Initiative drives programs that assist residents with access to quality healthcare, food, and literacy programs – and more. Ibis Charities Foundation’s 2023 grant funded the Community Resource Educators who are a critical link for helping residents-in-need access vital services.
