Girls’ Night Out is always a special occasion as it is when we traditionally recognize the Ibis Charities Foundation Woman of Accomplishment. Each year we recognize an outstanding leader from amongst the non-profit organizations in Palm Beach County. Each year, the Grants committee helps to identify a stand-out individual whose dedication to her work deserves recognition. On February 10th the Woman of Accomplishment award was presented to Julie Ann Swindler, LCSW, Chief Executive Officer of Families First (pictured left). Julie has dedicated her career to strengthening children, families, and communities in Palm Beach County for more than four decades. Her professional foundation includes extensive clinical training and direct service experience in mental health and child and family social services, including early service with Families First of Palm Beach County at its inception in 1990.
For more than three decades, Families First of Palm Beach County has been a trusted leader in strengthening families and protecting children’s well-being across our community. Founded in 1990, Families First is grounded in the belief that strong families build strong communities and that early, intentional support can change life trajectories for children and parents alike. Through its prevention and early-intervention programs, Families First provides home visiting, mental health counseling, parent education, care coordination, and concrete supports that reduce barriers, strengthen protective factors, and create safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
