211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast
211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast’s mission is to save and improve lives through crisis intervention and by connecting people to health, mental health, and wellness services 24 hours a day every day. 211 has long been the designated agency to answer all local calls dialed into the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and, since 2010, has served as the Rape Crisis Victim of Violent Crimes Hotline. Today, 211 also responds to a national Disaster Distress Helpline, a Special Needs Hotline the agency established, as well as the Help Me Grow initiative, among others.
“On behalf of all of us at 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, thank you for your generous grant for 211 's Elder Crisis Outreach Program. Your continued support of our mission is deeply gratifying to us, and we hope it is the same for you.
211 's Elder Crisis Outreach program provides Palm Beach County seniors, aged 60 years and older, who are currently experiencing or are, at risk of experiencing a crisis, advocacy and short-term case management services aimed at resolving their personal situation. Our experienced ECO Advocates have an in-depth knowledge of the local senior service health and human services network, and step in to do what a loved one would do to help stabilize the elder's current level of crisis and promote their independence as long as it's feasible.
ECO maintains an Emergency Fund to help the seniors who it serves with the financial issues that they are facing, such as the need for rental assistance, utility assistance, food/meals, and other income supports. The funding from this grant award will allow us to maintain this Emergency Fund and enhance our ability to provide much needed assistance to seniors in the event that there are no other community resources available to meet their current needs.”

Sweet Dream Makers
Impact Grant Recipient 2023
Thanks to the continued generosity and compassion of the members of the Club at Ibis we are enhancing the efforts of Sweet Dream Makers. This amazing organization provides beds and bedding to children who have been found sleeping on the floor in homes where the family is struggling financially. Most of these children not only didn’t have a bed but lacked furniture to store their clothes. Ibis Charities fulfilled a wish for Sweet Dream Makers to make it possible for each child now to not only have their own bed, but each will also be given a dresser to store their clothing. Sweet Dream Makers makes a difference in the lives of over 11,000 local children and families.
Founder & Executive Director Suzanne Broad, the 2022 Woman of Accomplishment by Ibis Charities Foundation, has thanked the Foundation for its support:
“Ibis was one of our first supporters and watched Sweet Dream Makers grow to what it today. The people of Ibis Charities are the kindest, most compassionate community.”
Following our initial impact grant supporting 80 beds in early 2023, Sweet Dream Makers thanked Ibis Charities Foundation and said:
“Your belief that every child deserves a bed of their own has made a tremendous impact year after year, and your recent grant will have an immediate impact on local children right here in our own neighborhood. Your financial support will help us fulfill our mission to provide new beds and bedding to children who are sleeping on the floor, sharing a bed or sleeping in unsafe and unsanitary conditions … Because of your organization and community members, no child has ever had to wait to receive a bed and lives are being changed literally overnight.”
